Residence Permits

A person can be eligible for residence permit in Sweden for, among other grounds, he or she is married or cohabitates with someone who has a residence permit or is a Swedish citizen. Minor children, too, have a right to be reunified with their parents in Sweden. The family member with the residence permit or Swedish citizenship must, however, be able to support his or her self as well as the applicant for residence permit and also have a dwelling large enough to accomodate the family.
